Easy Halloween Make Up Ideas
It’s nearing Halloween and many people are excited about it. People get to dress up in costumes and legally beg for bags of candy and homemade treats. When you think about it, it’s a pretty fun holiday. Do you have a favorite way to celebrate Halloween? One of my most memorable holidays was at a haunted house. The vampires and dead people all looked very real. I’m sure they used Halloween make up tricks. I have some hallowing tricks of my own, you know. Wanna see them? Okay… great, here we go.
This is my favorite one to do. It’s always best to start with a clean face when applying any kind of make up, so wash up and always pat your face dry.

Next, take a sponge and apply white make up to the entire face and neck. After you’re satisfied with the way it looks, give it a coat of translucent powder. Not to heavy though, keep it light. Work your eyes as usual, but add a little more this time. The smokey look would definitely work in this case, however, you can keep it simple and contour the eyes with red eye shadow. Be sure to get around the corners of your eyes and under the bottom lash. Eye lash extensions will work wonders here. Thicken the brows with mascara or eye brown pencil. Then line the lips with a black pencil and apply red lipstick. Add some non-toxic paint for the bloody effects and you’re done, hon. Oh, and don’t forget the fangs.
Cat eyes are really simple and quick. Apply makeup as normal, but with a bit more attention to the eyes. You want to use a light eye shadow and you’ll need a couple of pencils to define the eyes and brows.
You can use one color or three colors on the eyes, however, you will need to contour the eyes with a dark colored pencil as shown. Go deep into the corners and extend the line out to the end of the brow with the pencil and eye liner. You can mix and match colors or use black eye liner.
This look can be played up if you add some glitter. Use Vaseline on the eye lid to secure the glitter. Pat on with a brush and then add lashes. Now, look at me… yes, they are purrfect. You got it! Good job.
This is another smart and quick application. Starting with a base coat to strengthen the nail, you need to apply two coats white nail polish. Make sure the first one is completely dry before you top it off because you’re going to be adding more nail polish. After the polish is dry, alternate patterns with your choice of colors. Red works great and black is a popular color for Halloween. Dot on, splash on and drag on your designs as there is no need to be a perfectionist. Apply a clear top coat to add protection and shine. For faster drying, stick your hands in the freezer by the blower for about five minutes.
I hope you have fun this Halloween. Be safe… be inspiring, be inspired. This is your girl, Mikki Donaldson, with another Inspire Beauty tip.
