How to make bath salts at home

Everyone loves a nice relaxing bath with spiced with some magic bath salt. Choosing to prepare it at home can only be in your advantage: a much more natural and healthy bath salt with lots of wonderful benefits.
Beside the fact that bath salts can help you relax and feel much more calm, it is also extremely beneficial for your skin. Why? Because it helps your body detox,  cleans your skin well and eliminates dead cells and toxins.
I believe this these are reasons enough for you to use bath salts.
Preparing it it is very simple. You will see :)

Needed ingredients:

  • 300 g coarse sea salt;
  • 25 g corn starch;
  • 10 ml Macadamia oil (or any other oil like sesame oil, almond,coconut,apricot,etc.);
  • 5 ml Grapefruit essential oil;
  • 2 ml any other essential oil you love

In a bowl mix the Macadamia oil with the essential oils. Add the sea salt and mix really well. Then add the corn starch.
Put it all in a jar and keep it in on your bathroom shelf.
If you would like to give your bath salt a little color, you can add some mineral pigment.
Also you can choose to use whatever essential oil you love. Either you go for a calming effect (lavender, mandarin) or a refreshing one (lemongrass, mint, eucalypti), the possibilities are endless. You just need to use your imagination! :)
