Recovery is a week, and no make up is allowed during this time on the tattooed area.
You must not allow any water to touch the area in this time either, so if you need to wash your hair, try to wash it backwards or try dry shampoo!
Keep the area clean by slowly dabbing it with a damp cotton bud-DO NOT wipe! You can dampen it with 2 parts water, one part soap. Please make sure you use a soap that does not have too many chemicals, like a Nivea or make your own! Do this daily before applying your ointment.
You must not let the area dry out so make sure you keep it moist with Bepanthan (used on babies) or another natural oil like A&D ointment – to be used 2- 3 times a day.
I am having mine done next week so let me know if you would like me to post my experience also.
